Code of Conduct:
It is important that we are fostering a welcoming and respectful environment for all participants. Your registration in a class/workshop means that you agree to the code of conduct as it follows below:
1. Respect and Inclusivity: Treat everyone with kindness and respect, regardless of their background, experience level, or personal style. We celebrate diversity and encourage an inclusive atmosphere. We have cultivated a safe space for all who want to be a part of the Garnet Studios community where we share creative ideas, jewelry techniques, etc. for artistic development and universal enjoyment.
2. Safety First: Follow all safety instructions and guidelines provided by your instructor and/or monitor. Safety guidelines are posted in the studio. Use tools and equipment responsibly and report any hazards or concerns to a representative of Garnet Studios immediately.
3. Collaboration and Support: Foster a spirit of collaboration. Share knowledge and skills with your peers and be open to learning from others. Support each other's creative journeys with encouragement and constructive feedback.
4. Respect for Materials and Equipment: Handle all materials and equipment with care. Clean up your workspace after use and return tools to their designated places. Report any damaged items to a representative of Garnet Studios promptly.
5. Confidentiality and Privacy: Respect the privacy of fellow studio members. Do not share personal information, images, or creative ideas without permission.
6. Zero Tolerance for Harassment: Harassment of any kind, including, but not limited to, verbal, physical, or visual conduct, will not be tolerated. If you experience or witness harassment, please report it to a Garnet Studio representative immediately.
7. Sustainability and Environmental Care: Be mindful of waste and aim to use materials sustainably. Dispose of waste responsibly and consider recycling whenever possible.
8. Open Communication: If you have any concerns or suggestions, please communicate them to a representative of Garnet Studios. We value your input and strive to improve our community continuously.
9. Guests: Guests are allowed only with prior approval in writing (text or email) from a Garnet Studios representative. Guests are expected to follow all Garnet Studios policies and code of conduct.
Cancellations and Open Studio
Cancellations

72 hour notice must be given for any workshops or independent study training. Failure to show or if notice is given less than 72 hours before the workshop or training, no refund will be given. Exceptions will be reviewed on a case by case basis.

If a weekly class is missed, 1 make up class may be available for an additional $50, subject to teacher availability.

No refunds for missed classes. Exceptions will be reviewed on a case by case basis.

Refunds will be provided for any classes or workshops canceled by Garnet Studios.

Failure to adhere to Garnet Studios code of conduct (see below) will result in immediate expulsion with no refund given.
Open studio

Students registered for class (4 weeks or more): One open studio of 4-hours included per week; after that, $25 for a 4-hour session

Individuals not registered for class: $50 per 4-hour session

Monitors are there for your safety. They are not there to teach you. They do reserve the right to say something if they feel you are doing something that may hurt you, others, and/or the studio.

Bench availability is on a first come, first served basis.

Representatives of Garnet Studios reserve the right to turn students away if there are no benches available.
Photo Release
Your registration in a class/workshop means that you give permission to Garnet Studios to use your image and images of your work for promotion on their website, newsletter, and social media accounts.
